Work Site Assessment
A Work Site Assessment involves a physician assessing the work of a patient to see whether or not the patient can perform the specific task optimally. The individual is asked to perform tasks related to the job and our job is to assess whether it is safe for them to perform these tasks. We want to assess which vocational program is suitable for the individual and will allow them to work productively and efficiently. Doctors that express any doubts in providing medical clearance for any patient, ask for a work site safety assessment to certify if the individual is fit to perform that task. If a reduced ability is discovered, a rehabilitative program such as physiotherapy may be beneficial to the patient. The workers supervisor and co-workers need to understand the restrictions and safe work methods that the patient must follow before they can actually start working. These recommendations need to be effectively communicated to the entire co-workers. If a reduced ability is discovered, a rehabilitative program such as physiotherapy may be beneficial to the patient.
