Work Conditioning & Work Hardening
After a numerous amount of accidents, injured patients are able to establish their short-term or long-term goals via physical therapy but due to some remaining deficits, they are unable to return to work. Work conditioning is a higher level of therapeutic intervention which is designed to condition the entire body of the patient and help them return to work.
Work hardening is an intervention program which is designed for just this. With the help of real or simulated work activities, patients are conditioned to restore their functions. Work conditioning, on the other hand helps in restoring neuromuscular and musculoskeletal function. The goal is to restore the strength, power, motor control and our functional abilities of the patient.
